Meet Tips
- Pack the night before. Couple of towels, goggles, cap, sunscreen, sleeping bag/blanket and books and/or entertainment
- Wear suit to meet
- In sharpie on forearm write: EVENT-HEAT-LANE- for each of your child’s races (this can also be done at the meet with the help of a coach/jr. coach)
- example: “25-2-4” this would represent that my swimmer was in event 25 of the second heat for that event and swimming in lane 4
- Dress for daily weather progression- may want a hat v. Bring snacks and fluids or be prepared to buy concessions (have cash just in case)
- Get to the pool in time to warm up. Warm up is optional for 6U however arrive 30 min before meet or you may be replaced on a relay
- Check races before the meet starts. Younger kids will get help making it to heating for their events/heating but 11 and up need to be responsible to watch the heat signs and get to their events on time themselves
