Meet our Coaches!
Head Coach - Kenzie Christenson
Hello team. I am a Colorado native but (for now) I live in Utah during the school year to attend BYU.
I started swimming at 8 years old. I swam for Highlands Ranch High School for 4 years, and was a Captain my senior year. I love swimming backstroke and distance events. I began teaching swim lessons at age 15 and love working with kids! I have taught classes and lessons for all ages and skill levels, everything from parent tot classes to swim team prep and adult swim lessons.
At age 16 I began coaching for the Cook Creek Wahoos. I coached for Cook Creek for 3 years until moving to the Dominican Republic in 2016. After graduating high school, I transitioned from competitive swimming to triathlon training and have continued swimming and teaching in my free time.
I am going into my junior year at BYU studying Dietetics. After graduation, I plan to finish my licensing to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working specifically with diabetics. (I love talking about nutrition and medicine, if you have any cool experiences or questions, come talk to me!)
Apart from swimming, I love anything and everything outside! I love playing golf, hiking, cycling, and running. I’m currently training for Ride the Rockies in June and a triathlon at the end of the summer!
I am so excited to be joining the Wahoos as Head Coach this summer, and I look forward to getting to know each of you. If you have any questions or concerns or need anything, please reach out to me through email (firstname.lastname@example.org), and I will respond as soon as possible.
I'm so excited to be working with you all, it's going to be a great season!
Assistant Coach - Danielle Carr
Hello All! I am very excited to be coaching the Wahoos this year. I have been competitively swimming since I was eight years old, and have continued my swimming career through college. I currently compete for a Division One swim team at Lafayette College, and am the top backstroker for my team. I have been teaching lessons and coaching since I was fourteen, which makes more than five years of hands-on experience. Other than swimming, I enjoy reading, hiking, yoga, and hanging out with my dogs. But more than anything else, I love all things pool-related. Goooo Wahoos!
Junior Coach - Norah Nevener

I cannot wait to help contribute to the team in so many different ways this year and I am ready to make it an extravagant year!
