Head Coach - Kaylyn Flatt
Hi Wahoos! My name is Kaylyn Flatt and I am so excited to be a part of the Wahoo family again! Once upon a time, I was a swimmer on the Wahoos myself. I joined the team back in 2002 and it was where I fell in love with the sport of swimming. From then on, swimming became a large part of my life. I graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2015 and I headed to the University of Nebraska, Lincoln on a swimming scholarship. My time as a Division 1 athlete and captain taught me a lot about hard work, dedication and just how special a team can be. I am hoping to be able to bring some of that, as well as a little fun, to the Wahoo team family this summer. Since retiring from my career as an athlete last February, I turned to volunteer coaching at both the University and the High School level as well as teaching swim lessons at my local YMCA to stay in touch with the pool. I also graduated from UNL with a degree in Secondary Education in December of 2019. Since then I have moved back home to Colorado and I am currently substitute teaching in the science department at Cherry Creek High School while I look for a full- time job in the area for the fall. With moving home and working at my high school, my life feels like quite the full circle at the moment, but it wouldn’t be complete without a return to the team where I fell in love with swimming for the first time! I am so excited to be back with the Wahoos and I can’t wait to see what this season holds!
Hey y’all! My name is Liberty Bell. I will be graduating high school this year and plan on attending University of Washington majoring in biology and political science on a pre-med track! I will also be doing Army ROTC on a 4-year scholarship. My family has been a part of the Wahoo's community for 24 years, I have been swimming for the Wahoo's for 14 seasons, during that time we have not missed a single meet. I joined CAC Stingrays in first grade and continue to swim for the Club, where I have attended USA coaching clinics and countless meets. I was blessed to finish my high school swimming career as a swim captain and a dive captain. Outside of swimming I love to golf and ski! I have worked as a ski patroller for the past three seasons at Winter Park. I am so excited to be coaching for Willow Creek again this year. GO WAHOOS!
Hi! I have been a Wahoo since I was five and the summer swim team is always a highlight of the year! I am finishing my senior year at Cherry Creek where I swim on the Lady Bruins Swim and Dive team. During my time at Creek, I have developed a passion for leading the adventure program. In this program, I teach other students how to kayak and paddleboard. Next year I will attend the University of Portland to major in Elementary Education. I play water polo on the club team at Creek, with the Colorado Pirates, and the Arapahoe Warriors. I have also swam for the CAC Stingrays, LifeTime, and Sawfish club teams. Throughout the summer I spend my time mainly at the pool whether it's for coaching, lifeguarding, or just for fun. I enjoy spending time with my family, and telling and laughing at corny jokes. I can't wait to have an amazing season!
Hi-ya Wahoos! My name is Norah Nevener and I cannot wait to begin this summer with this incredible team. I’ve grown up swimming with the Wahoos starting at the age of 7, and this team helped contribute to my love for this sport. With the Wahoos I also had the incredible opportunity to be head H2O of the Wahoos, as well as a Coach for another season. I want to be able to make swimming fun and a good learning experience for kids, and that they will grow to love it like I have! I graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2021. There, I swam competitively for 3 years, and then in my last year of high school I tried rowing since it was during the season of Covid. Also, in my junior and senior years of high school I was a drum major and the head drum major of the Cherry Creek High School band, and through that experience I learned the importance of leadership, communication, and hard work which all contribute to having a stable, connected team that wants to achieve the same goals. I am excited to see the potential this summer is going to bring! I am currently a freshman at the University of Missouri. I am currently in the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha, where I am surrounded by girls who build each other up and keep each other in check with our values of friendship, leadership, service, knowledge, integrity and community. I am currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, and looking to go to graduate school to become a patent attorney. I am not swimming at the University of Missouri, however, I have directed my attention towards weightlifting and yoga. I look forward to not only helping kids grow on their journey as swimmers, but as individuals who are trying to find who they are and what their passions are. GO WAHOOS!
HI! My name is Alex Radin, and I'm going into my senior year of high school, but I'm looking forward to college. I've been swimming with the Wahoos since 2012. I work as a lifeguard during the summer and during the fall I run cross country. I'm super excited to coach this summer! Go Wahoos!
